Resources for trauma and support

• Information about Somatic Experiencing at their website

• The Lynn House is a beautiful, substance free shelter in Costa Mesa, CA. for women where they can regain control of their lives.

•   The International End of Life Doula Association (INELDA) provides information and support for terminally ill patients and their families.

Information about shamanism

•   The Foundation for Shamanic Studies is an organization that provides high-quality information and trainings around the world. They also work to preserve the knowledge and practices of traditional shamans so they don’t die out and become lost forever. I wholeheartedly support the FSS, and can attest to their integrity and the quality of their work.

Earth Stewardship

•   Amazon Watch is an organization that works to protect the “lungs of our planet” and the native caretakers who live there. Their slogan is “Protecting the rainforest and our climate by supporting indigenous peoples.” I have spent many years in the Amazon jungles and have seen firsthand what a unique and precious place this part of the world is.

•   Another organization working in this area is the Rainforest Alliance. From their website: “The Rainforest Alliance is an international non-profit organization working at the intersection of business, agriculture, and forests to make responsible business the new normal. We are an alliance of companies, farmers, foresters, communities, and consumers committed to creating a world where people and nature thrive in harmony.
